The rain in Spain

Yes we got some rain and since friends calls us and wonder, I will write some words about it.

The INE, National Institute of Meterorology, activateted the red level of alert in the province of Malaga on tuesday due to strong winds with heavy rain storms. The western part of the region was worst hit, most of all in Mijas, which saw rainfall of 157 litres per square meter. La Vega industrial area was evacuated when a nearby stream overflowed. The rain also affected many other areas in Las Lagunas, specially garages and basements. The Camino de Coin road and the roundabout next to McDonalds had to be cut to the traffic, as they were flooded aswell. Residents of The Molino de Viento social homes were temporarily evacuated to Las Canadas sports centre to prevent an emergency situation for fears that the Fuengirola River could burst its banks. They were able to go back to their homes in the evening.
The rain across Malaga province this week has been described the wettest week in the province since 1989.

Guess what!

Today we got rain, real rain as the rain we have been waiting for in two years!

Hiking in Sierra de Mijas
Costa del Sol is not only beaches and bars. On your own feet you can explore a georgous nature in the hills and mountains, good for soul and body.

Out there in the wilderness it is imortant to bring not just water and food, but also your mobilphone. If something bad happens, you have to call for help.

One sunny day in Sierra de Mijas I suddenly got a message on my mobil:

"From: IAM Maroc Telecom welcomes you to Marocco. For any information dial 444 your internationalroaming call center"

Well, it was a long trip that day, but Marocco?

Well, we often use Canonigos in our salad.

And, as you can see, sometimes with fresh meat! Canonigos con Rana!

No, thats right, nothing are straight in Andalucia.

Well, I had to add a picture of today (february 15.). They removed the beatyful three, but they also got the kiosk straight and turned it another way.

(I loved the three more than the kiosk... )
